In the prior art, numerous inventors have combined various blending agents with Anti Iron Gel to produce anti-iron gels. The use of oxidized fatty acids also has long been known in the art. Oxidized fatty acids are desirable constituents for anti-iron gel because they impart increased metal reflecting capacity, reducing damage to the metal and to the metal being Worked and also increasing the validity for metal reflecting Operations.

Description

The present invention relates to the activation of anti iron gel of superior metal reflecting and improved stability in aqueous solution and on metal parts.

It relates particularly to a metal-reflecting anti-iron gel composition which comprises, in combination, optimum proportions of phosphorous-containing fatty acids and solubilizing agents.

The compositions were further improved by incorporating a minor proportion, preferably from 0.5 to about 1% by weight, of a Surface active agent of the type exemplified by the  “Spans’ and “Swenso’ which are manufactured by Zona Chemicals.
